Included in the papers are letters from Elaine Steinbeck, 1968-1969; notes made by Sheehan from a meeting with Steinbeck in Honolulu in December, 1966, when Steinbeck was on his way to Vietnam; a column by Sheehan about Positano, an Italian town Steinbeck published a short piece about in 1953 (book included); miscellaneous letters that Steinbeck published about his Vietnam visit; Sheehan's obituary for Steinbeck distributed through a press syndicate and the responses from readers, some of whom knew Steinbeck; other pieces Sheehan published about Steinbeck; and a short biographical piece about Ed Sheehan, 1999 (3 pp).
